It offers a variety of dining experiences across its eight food and beverage outlets, including four restaurants, a beach club, a lounge, a marketplace, and in-room dining. Situated adjacent to the iconic Laguna Beach, Dana Point is a coastal town known for its pivotal role in California's surf culture, offering guests a mix of a laid-back lifestyle and vibrant, active activities. The role of Cook II in the Bourbon Steak Team at this prestigious resort is integral to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As a Station Cook, you will not only prepare high-quality dishes but also contribute to spreading the warmth of hospitality. The position involves preparing menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, managing guest orders efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace that meets health and safety regulations. This role demands advanced cooking techniques such as sauce preparation, roasting, grilling, and plating, and it may require working independently on kitchen stations. One key responsibility is to inspect dishes prior to serving, ensuring impeccable presentation and taste.
Additionally, the Cook II will handle multiple orders simultaneously, assist with training teammates, and support minor supervisory tasks as necessary. Compliance with food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and alcohol awareness is crucial to safeguarding both guest satisfaction and team member welfare. Hilton values core attributes such as hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a proactive mindset, all of which you will embody in this role. The company invests substantially in its employees’ wellbeing, offering generous benefits including travel perks, stock purchase programs, paid parental leave, caregiving support, crisis support, mental health resources, paid time off, and comprehensive health and welfare plans.
