The Cook II position at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, hired by Sodexo, is a full-time role offering an hourly pay rate between $16.25 and $21.50. As a Cook II, you will be an integral part of the culinary team where you will prepare and present a variety of hot and cold food items for different meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. You will have the opportunity to work at different stations, possibly including a la carte service or grill stations, showcasing your culinary skills and contributing to food waste reduction efforts. Your role involves reading and following recipes and product preparation instructions accurately and efficiently and may include supporting management with daily oversight tasks.

Job Duties

  • Read and follow basic recipes and or product directions for preparing various food items
  • May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and or operate a grill station
  • May support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
