The role being offered is a full-time non-management culinary associate position. This role is central to the resort’s food and beverage operations, providing hands-on preparation and cooking of high-quality food items in accordance with JW Marriott’s esteemed standards. The selected candidate will engage in various culinary duties, including preparing ingredients, cooking recipes to exact specifications, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen environment. In addition to performing daily kitchen operations, the culinary associate will benefit from access to innovative online training opportunities through a partnership with Rouxbe Cooking School. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • Ability to work full time
  • Ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to follow company safety and hygiene policies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh measure and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
  • Prepare cold foods
  • Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
