This opportunity is for a Cook II position at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital Midwest, managed by Sodexo. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay range from $15.56 to $18.83. The position requires open availability across any shift, providing flexibility for candidates with diverse schedules. As a Cook II, you will be a vital member of the food service team, focusing on preparing and presenting nutritious and appealing meals for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. You will work collaboratively with your team to reduce food waste, uphold high standards of food safety, and provide excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

The role goes beyond just cooking; it involves understanding and following precise recipes, supporting management during daily operations, and contributing to the overall success of the food service department. Previous experience, preferably three to four years in a similar position, is desired to help you excel in this role. Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare portion cook and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast lunch dinner and special catered events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing various food items
  • May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and operate a grill station
  • May support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
