Job Requirements

  • Four years experience as a cook or two years relevant experience with high school or equivalent
  • Required ServSafe Manager food safety certification within one year of hire
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Technical program completion or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Relevant experience in food services preferred
  • Experience in healthcare food services preferred
  • ServSafe Manager certification within one year of hire
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and production methods
  • Ensure high-quality food using safe sanitary food handling techniques
  • Conduct daily quality control checks on taste temperature and presentation
  • Work multiple production stations including patient cafeteria and catering foods
  • Train and orient selected staff on food production and safety sanitation practices
  • Lead production in absence of Executive Chef
  • Perform other duties as necessary
