Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience as a line cook or in food preparation
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
  • ability to supervise junior kitchen staff
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • capability to manage inventory and report supply needs
  • willingness to perform additional kitchen duties as needed
  • ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • familiarity with inventory control and food waste reduction
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a kitchen setting

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes
  • control food usage to minimize waste
  • prepare and cook orders for daily operations
  • advise supervisor of low inventory items
  • assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required
  • maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area
  • maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work area including reach-ins, walk-ins, and counters
  • report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
  • perform dishwasher or other kitchen duties as needed
  • promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
  • occasionally interact directly with guests
  • assist with other duties as assigned
