Job Requirements
- Technical or vocational school diploma
- minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience
- physical ability to perform prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds
- ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
- availability to work full time in Newport Beach, California
- willingness to communicate effectively and professionally
- no supervisory experience required

Job Duties
- Prepare specialty foods or replace products as needed
- regulate oven, grill, and roaster temperatures
- remove foods from freezer to thaw in refrigerator
- ensure proper portioning, plating, and garnishing of food
- maintain accurate food records
- monitor food quality and quantity during preparation
- communicate staffing assistance needs during busy periods
- inform executive chef about excess food products for daily specials
- notify food and beverage staff about rejected products and available specials
- ensure quality control of food products
- prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists
- prepare cold dishes
- assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
- act as a role model
- comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management
- participate in safety trainings and obtain required certifications
- maintain professional appearance and hygiene
- protect company assets and maintain confidentiality
- anticipate and attend to guest service needs
- communicate clearly and professionally with team members
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- support team goals
- respond appropriately to employee concerns
- ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
- perform prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking
- stretch, bend, twist, and stoop as needed
- move, lift, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
