Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in commercial production food service
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Food handlers certification within six months of hire
- Relevant hospital or large institution kitchen experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Customer service skills

Job Duties
- Communicates and reviews menu and special orders daily with supervisors and team members in a professional and supportive manner to determine production schedule and food quantities
- Follows standardized recipes for all food preparation
- Reads production tally/menu and organizes workload to meet specified deadlines and quantity requirements
- Maintains proper workflow during line cooking
- Adheres to guidelines for storage, handling, and preparation of food and sanitation of work areas
- Reports equipment problems to supervisor
- Ensures food preparation areas are clean, sanitized, and orderly at all times using proper chemical and sanitation techniques
