Job Requirements
- must be at least 19 years of age
- high school diploma, GED, or relevant experience required
- one to five years of cooking experience in a high-volume food service environment preferred
- knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and equipment operation
- basic understanding of food preparation techniques and terminology
- ability to taste and smell food for quality assurance
- knowledge of measurements, recipe yields, and portion control
- ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- strong communication and guest service skills
- ability to tolerate standard cleaning chemicals used in food service
- maintains a neat, professional appearance in accordance with company standards
- ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- strong organizational and self-management skills
- ServSafe certification required
- ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License required

Job Duties
- practice, support, and uphold the mission, vision, and values of WarHorse Gaming
- provide fast, friendly, and professional service to guests and team members
- prepare food items according to recipes, production standards, and guest requests
- perform both line cook and prep cook duties as assigned
- use proper cooking methods and food handling techniques in accordance with health and safety standards
- slice, dice, chop, portion, garnish, and plate food items accurately and efficiently
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, equipment, and utensils
- identify and address any health code or safety concerns promptly
- maintain appropriate inventory levels of food products and supplies at assigned workstations
- operate and maintain kitchen equipment following safety guidelines
- demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve culinary skills
- promote current casino events and provide guests with directions as needed
- lead by example and maintain professionalism at all times
- perform other duties as assigned
