This role is situated within the Banquet Kitchen team at the esteemed Ritz-Carlton located in Clayton, Missouri, offering a full-time, non-management position at a competitive wage of $23.25 per hour. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that the "Gold Standards" of The Ritz-Carlton are consistently met with warmth and meticulous attention to detail. This position involves preparing special meals and substituting products when necessary, regulating cooking equipment temperatures, and defrosting food properly. The role also demands careful portion control and food presentation according to established recipes and quality standards. Recording food inventory, monitoring the quality and quantity of prepared dishes, and communicating any additional assistance needed during busy periods are key responsibilities. The employee will liaise with the kitchen head regarding excess food products for daily specials and inform food and beverage service staff about rejected items and special dishes.
Additionally, this position supports management by assisting in staff hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, while serving as a role model for all team members. Maintaining company safety policies and protocols, reporting accidents and unsafe work conditions, and ensuring proper uniform and personal appearance standards are crucial. Job Duties
