- Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
- at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- ability to regulate temperatures of cooking equipment
- ability to maintain food quality and portion control
- effective communication skills
- ability to anticipate and meet guest service needs
- physical ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
- willingness to perform additional reasonable duties as requested

Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or replace products
- regulate oven, grill, and roaster temperatures
- remove food from freezer to thaw in refrigerator
- ensure proper portions, distribution, and garnishing of food
- keep food records
- control food quality and quantity
- communicate assistance needed during busy periods
- inform chef of excess food items for daily specials
- inform food and beverage staff of rejected products and available specials
- ensure quality of food products
- prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, presentation standards, and preparation checklists
- prepare cold dishes
- assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- comply with all safety policies and procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
- maintain professional appearance and uniform
- maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- anticipate guest service needs and respond appropriately
- communicate clearly and professionally with others
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- support team to achieve common goals
- listen and respond appropriately to concerns of others
- ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
- stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- perform stretching, bending, twisting, and stooping
- move, lift, carry, push, drag, and place objects up to 25 pounds unaided
