Job Requirements

  • Education from a technical, trade, or vocational school preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience preferred
  • Ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
  • Physical ability to perform duties including standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
  • Commitment to maintain clean and professional appearance
  • Ability to work flexible hours and during busy periods

Job Qualifications

  • No supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
  • Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
  • Maintain food logs
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
  • Communicate assistance needed during busy periods
  • Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials
  • Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock items
  • Ensure quality of food items
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
  • Prepare cold foods
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • Serve as a role model
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Develop positive working relationships with others
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to employees' concerns
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Perform physical activities like bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
