Job Requirements
- Education from a technical, trade, or vocational school preferred
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience preferred
- Ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- Commitment to maintain clean and professional appearance
- Ability to work flexible hours and during busy periods
Job Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred
- At least 3 years of related work experience preferred
- No supervisory experience required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow recipes and quality standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Good physical stamina and agility
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or substitute items
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- Maintain food logs
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods
- Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials
- Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock items
- Ensure quality of food items
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
- Prepare cold foods
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
- Serve as a role model
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Ensure clean and professional uniform and appearance
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Protect company assets
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs
- Develop positive working relationships with others
- Support team to reach common goals
- Listen and respond appropriately to employees' concerns
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Perform physical activities like bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
