Job Requirements
- must possess knowledge of basic operation of a kitchen
- understand oral and/or written instructions
- ability to read and quantify recipes and menus
- interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors and management
- meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract
- pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screening
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work variable hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to travel to various locations
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of basic kitchen operations
- ability to understand oral and written instructions
- ability to read and quantify recipes and menus
- effective communication skills
- ability to interact appropriately with diverse individuals
- prior experience in food preparation preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- accurately prepare food items for various meal periods
- portion and cook food following recipes and menus
- present food attractively during service
- interact professionally with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, and team members
- comply with safety and sanitation standards
- follow instructions related to emergency operations and scheduling
- assist with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen areas
