Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous
  • must be able to pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background checks
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
  • must adhere to drug-free workplace policies

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of basic kitchen operations
  • ability to understand oral and written instructions
  • ability to read and quantify recipes and menus
  • effective interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • ability to meet eligibility requirements for specified contracts

Job Duties

  • accurately prepare and portion a variety of food items
  • cook and present food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
  • follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
  • interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, management, and team members
  • adapt to different client requirements and business necessities
  • comply with emergency operations and work assignment protocols
