Job Description

Guy Fieri's Smokehouse, an innovative and dynamic dining concept, is brought to life by the renowned award-winning chef, restaurateur, author, and TV personality, Guy Fieri. Known for his vibrant personality and passion for culinary excellence, Fieri has earned a respected place in the American culinary scene, highlighted by his induction into the American Royal BBQ Hall of Fame in 2012. This recognition underscores his dedication and mastery in the art of BBQ, which heavily influences the unique offerings at this flagship restaurant.

Situated at Fourth Street Live, a bustling entertainment and dining district, Guy Fieri's Smokehouse offers an expansive 6,700 square feet of indoor dining space complemented by a spacious 2,200 square foot outdoor patio. The restaurant is designed to create an inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy expertly crafted BBQ dishes. One of its standout features is a large smoker custom-made by Ole Hickory, which is central to producing the signature smoky flavors that have become synonymous with Guy Fieri's culinary brand. Additionally, the venue boasts two bars, enhancing the lively and social dining experience.

The Cook role at Guy Fieri's Smokehouse is an integral position responsible for maintaining the high standards of food preparation and kitchen operation. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about BBQ and culinary arts, looking to be part of a celebrated restaurant team driven by quality and innovation. As a Cook, you will be expected to manage food usage effectively to reduce waste, prepare and cook orders promptly to support smooth daily operations, and maintain rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards that comply with state and local health regulations.

Your responsibilities will extend to assisting with inventory management by advising supervisors on low-stock items, restocking during shifts, and receiving delivered goods. A clean, neat, and well-organized kitchen workspace is essential, with particular attention to storage areas such as reach-ins and walk-in coolers. Reporting any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment is crucial to ensure a safe work environment.

Cook team members may also support other kitchen duties as needed, including ware washing, and collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to promote a seamless dining experience. This position values multitasking abilities and effective communication, as daily interaction with fellow cooks, wait staff, supervisors, and occasionally guests, is commonplace. The overall aim is to deliver quality service while fostering teamwork within a fast-paced, energetic kitchen setting.
