Job Description

Guy Fieri's Smokehouse is a flagship dining concept brought to life by the award-winning chef, restaurateur, author, and TV personality Guy Fieri. Known for his passion for bold flavors and authentic American BBQ, Guy Fieri has created a vibrant and inviting restaurant located at Fourth Street Live. This establishment celebrates the art of barbecue, blending traditional smokehouse techniques with a modern dining experience that caters to food enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Inducted into the American Royal BBQ Hall of Fame in 2012, Guy Fieri's dedication to excellent BBQ shines through in every aspect of this restaurant, from the carefully curated menu to the hand-crafted smoker built by Ole Hickory.

The venue boasts an impressive 6,700 square feet of indoor dining space, complemented by a spacious 2,200 square foot outdoor patio area that offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for gatherings and social events. Guests can enjoy their meals alongside refreshing drinks from the two full-service bars on site. The Smokehouse is designed to provide an elevated, yet approachable dining experience where quality ingredients and expert preparation take center stage.

The Cook position at Guy Fieri's Smokehouse is a dynamic role essential to the restaurant's daily operations. This role involves preparing and cooking orders in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. The cook will play a key role in managing food usage to minimize waste, restocking items throughout shifts, and supporting inventory management by alerting supervisors to low-stock items. The role demands strict adherence to sanitation and cleanliness guidelines that comply with local and state health regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

Additionally, cooks at this Smokehouse are expected to maintain organized workspaces that include refrigeration units, storage areas, and prep counters. Safety is paramount, with responsibilities including reporting any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors promptly. The job may also require assisting with other kitchen duties such as ware washing when necessary. Successfully performing these duties requires multitasking abilities, teamwork, and consistent communication with kitchen and service staff to deliver exceptional food and service consistently. Moreover, occasional guest interaction is part of fostering a welcoming dining atmosphere.

This position is ideal for culinary professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about American BBQ cuisine. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the legacy of a nationally recognized culinary brand through hands-on cooking, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Candidates should expect to work nights, weekends, and potentially holidays, reflecting the restaurant's bustling schedule and commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, the cook at Guy Fieri's Smokehouse plays a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence and its mission to deliver unforgettable BBQ experiences to every guest.
