This position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) assignment located at the Golf Course of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. Job Requirements
- Must have experience in food preparation and knowledge of food characteristics
- must be able to perform yield testing for portion cost determination
- must understand procedures for ordering, issuing, and storing food
- experience must be gained from a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity
- ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods
- eligibility must be proven by the application closing date
- open to everyone with preferences determined by eligibility
- no education substitution allowed
- proof of foreign education equivalency required if applicable
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation principles and meal planning
- knowledge of yield testing and portion cost calculation
- understanding of food ordering, issuance, and storage procedures
- ability to stand and work physically demanding shifts
- experience gained from grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or related food service roles

- ability to work in fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to established food preparation principles and guidelines
- perform yield testing to determine portion costs and adjust ingredients in recipes
- follow procedures for ordering, issuing, and storing food supplies
- ensure timely preparation and cooking of entire meals
- maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the food preparation area
- assist in managing inventory levels to reduce waste
- support kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service operations
