Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience
  • Fine dining experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in restaurants, healthcare, or retirement communities
  • Strong knowledge of scratch cooking, food safety, and culinary techniques
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality meals from scratch including soups, sauces, seafood, meats, and specials
  • Follow a rotating 5-week menu while maintaining flexibility for resident preferences
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation through proper tasting and adjustments
  • Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Support the Executive Chef and Director of Dining with daily kitchen operations
  • Work collaboratively with the dining team to ensure timely, excellent service
