Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food Handler's Card (State of Kansas) required
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or high-volume prep environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen protocols
  • Must pass a physical exam and meet all vaccination and TB screening requirements
  • Must be dependable, organized, and available for weekend or holiday shifts

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals following approved recipes and dietary requirements
  • Complete ingredient prep including portioning, slicing, and measuring for upcoming meals
  • Ensure all meals meet proper temperature, texture, and presentation standards
  • Keep workstations clean and organized before, during, and after each shift
  • Sanitize equipment and surfaces and complete scheduled kitchen cleaning tasks
  • Assist with plating and meal service during high-volume periods or special events
  • Label and rotate leftovers and thawed items following food safety guidelines
  • Monitor and report supply needs, equipment issues, or food quality concerns
  • Support kitchen teammates with communication, collaboration, and a can-do attitude
