Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state and local requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly and dementia patients preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state and local requirements
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for elderly residents
  • Assist the Culinary Services Coordinator in managing food service functions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen and dining environment
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines according to state and local requirements
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences specific to elderly and dementia patients
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and resident satisfaction
