Job Description
Arden Courts is a leading senior living community specializing in memory care and catering to the unique needs of elderly residents, particularly those with dementia. The establishment prides itself on creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where residents can enjoy a high quality of life. As part of a trusted network of care providers, Arden Courts is committed to excellence in service delivery and fostering a professional workplace culture that values respect, diversity, and employee well-being.
As a Cook at Arden Courts, you play a crucial role in preparing appetizing and nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of our elderly residents. This position requires not only culinary skills but also a deep understanding of the dietary challenges faced by seniors, including those living with dementia. You will assist the Culinary Services Coordinator in managing food service operations, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that food safety standards are consistently met. Your role goes beyond food preparation—you contribute to creating a comfortable dining experience that supports the health and happiness of our residents.
The job demands a balance of technical skills and professionalism. You must exhibit tact, sensitivity, and a caring attitude while working with residents and colleagues alike. Physical stamina is essential since the role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the work shift. Previous experience in cooking and food preparation is required, along with knowledge of food service sanitation and the ability to follow state and local health regulations.
Arden Courts offers an inclusive and equitable work environment that welcomes applicants regardless of race, color, gender identity, disability, or other protected categories. We recognize the importance of accommodating individuals with disabilities, ensuring all team members can perform their roles effectively. Employees benefit from a robust compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, company-paid life insurance, paid time off, holiday premium pay, and unique perks like employee discounts, uniform provisions, and access to financial wellness tools such as daily access to pay through ZayZoon.
Working at Arden Courts means joining a team passionate about enhancing the lives of elders through compassionate care and hospitality. The cook position is ideal for someone who values teamwork, reliability, and continuous learning in a supportive healthcare environment. If you are a skilled cook with experience in elder care settings and possess a commitment to quality and safety, Arden Courts represents an excellent opportunity to advance your career while making a meaningful difference in your community.
