Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- knowledge of USDA commodity and child food nutrition regulations on food ordering, storage and use
- knowledge of USDA and CNP reporting requirements
- menu preparation to meet dietician and licensure standards
- experience operating commercial kitchen equipment
- knowledge of Iowa Department of Health and local Department of Health standards
- awareness of substance abuse treatment methods
- ability to use standard office equipment daily
- proficiency with computer systems and software
- strong judgment and analytical skills
- good verbal and written communication skills
- effective human relations and team working skills
- ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma

- knowledge of USDA and CNP reporting requirements
- menu preparation to meet dietician and licensure standards
- experience operating commercial equipment including dishwasher, oven, steamer, mixer, hot food table
- knowledge of Iowa Department of Health and local Department of Health standards for kitchen operation
- knowledge of Iowa Department of Health Division of Substance Abuse
- awareness of substance abuse treatment methods and approaches
- experience with commercial cooking for preparation of meals for residential program
- ability to work on a daily basis utilizing standard office equipment
- ability to use computer system and software
- ability to use independent judgment, analytical and decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, human relations skills, team working skills, organizational skills
Job Duties
- Direct supervision of kitchen and dining room areas
- menu planning with consultation of dietician
