Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year of culinary experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including rotating weekends and holidays
- Availability Monday through Friday with variable hours
- Ability to perform physical kitchen tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Compliance with company safety policies including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Ability to pass background screening if applicable
- Capability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- One year of previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to prepare food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Strong attention to detail to ensure food quality and presentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
- Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, maintaining proper temperature and presentation
- Taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen after preparation and serving
- Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Report maintenance needs or accidents to supervisors
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Follow all safety and hygiene policies and procedures
- Collaborate with coworkers, customers, and managers
- Perform other duties as assigned
