Job Description
Eurest is a globally recognized leader in the foodservice industry, known for its commitment to service excellence and operational quality. As a part of Compass Group, one of the largest foodservice companies worldwide, Eurest brings together extensive local presence and global expertise to deliver outstanding foodservice solutions to a diverse range of clients. The company prides itself on its ownership mindset and its dedication to enriching the communities it serves through high standards, innovation, and a culture of integrity and inclusion. Eurest caters to prestigious clients, including many Fortune 500 companies, illustrating its significant role in the corporate dining and foodservice sector.
Currently, Eurest is expanding its team by hiring full-time cooks to support operations at the Army's Fort Carson facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and consistency of food preparation in a federal defense setting, which demands adherence to strict standards not only in culinary skills but also in compliance with security and safety regulations. The position offers a fixed hourly wage of $22 plus an additional $5.55 per hour for health and welfare, reflecting a competitive compensation package for experienced culinary professionals. The schedule involves a 7-day operation with three shift options between 5:00 am and 9:00 pm, allowing for a degree of flexibility and continuous service delivery.
As a cook at Fort Carson, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing food items according to federal, state, and corporate standards using standardized recipes and procedures. The role demands precision in portion control, temperature regulation, and presentation to ensure each meal is both appealing and safe for consumption. The cook will participate in all stages of food service, from food preparation to service and cleanup, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen environment. This position also requires a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety protocols, including the use of safety gloves and slip-resistant shoes.
Furthermore, Eurest's commitment to its associates extends beyond the basic job functions by offering a range of benefits such as paid time off, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and various voluntary insurance options. Full-time employees are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, reflecting the company's dedication to supporting the well-being of its workforce. Employment in this role requires U.S. citizenship due to federal security regulations, and applicants must verify citizenship at the time of hire.
This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals seeking a stable and rewarding career in a respected organization with a global footprint and local impact. Eurest fosters an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought and background, encouraging all qualified candidates to apply. With ongoing application acceptance until all positions are filled, candidates are invited to embark on a fulfilling career journey with Eurest, contributing to their promise to connect with people, inspire through food, and create lasting solutions.
