Job Requirements
- Prior high-volume scratch cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time schedule Friday through Tuesday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
- Willingness to abide by company policies and safety procedures including glove use and slip-resistant shoes
- Ability to handle physical demands of cooking role
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in high-volume scratch cooking preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Willingness to learn and adapt to training
- Commitment to food quality and consistent portion control
- Physical ability to handle kitchen tasks safely
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares food for delivery using correct portioning and maintaining proper temperature
- Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents promptly
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperature
- Follows HACCP standards and company safety policies including appropriate glove usage and slip-resistant shoes
- Performs other duties as assigned
