Canteen is currently seeking a full-time Cook to join its team at the Harley-Davidson PDC location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position offers an hourly pay range of $18.00 to $22.00 and operates Monday through Friday with varying hours. The Cook plays a critical role in preparing high-quality food items that meet federal, state, and corporate standards. The ideal candidate will have prior cooking experience and a strong dedication to delivering exceptional food service while adhering to all safety and cleanliness protocols.
As a Cook at Canteen, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with established recipes and guidelines, ensuring that meals are served at the appropriate temperature and maintain an appealing presentation. You will be involved in portion control, tasting food to maintain quality, and adhering to food safety standards including HACCP. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, storing food safely, and properly handling kitchen equipment. Additionally, you will assist with production planning, record keeping, inventory management, and reporting, contributing to smooth kitchen operations.
This role requires a personal commitment to safety, including the use of proper protective gear such as medium weight cut gloves when handling sharp tools, oven mitts for hot items, and slip-resistant footwear. The Cook will also participate in regular safety meetings and uphold company policies to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace. Working effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers to foster a positive environment is key to success in this position.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday with varying hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use protective gear
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without accommodation

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions

- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Maintains refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
