Job Requirements

  • One year of previous cooking experience preferred
  • ability to perform essential job functions safely
  • knowledge of food safety guidelines and HACCP standards
  • willingness to work full-time Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • ability to comply with company safety policies
  • ability to maintain good working relationships
  • must be able to handle repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of cooking experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • familiarity with kitchen equipment operation

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food temperature and presentation
  • tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • reports maintenance needs and safety issues
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • performs job safely and follows all company policies and procedures including the use of protective gear
  • performs other assigned duties as needed
