Job Requirements

  • One year of previous cooking experience required
  • ability to work full-time schedule including some weekends
  • willingness to comply with company safety policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • willingness to submit to Florida Level 2 background screening if required
  • acceptance of drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year cooking experience required
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and prepare food according to strict quality guidelines
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a kitchen setting
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • willingness to attend training and safety meetings

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and temperature standards
  • tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • cleans kitchen area after preparation and serving maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • reports maintenance, equipment issues or accidents immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
  • performs job safely maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • abides by company safety policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • performs other duties as assigned
