Within this vibrant healthcare environment, the Cook position based at the East Patient Building in Sioux Falls, SD, offers a unique opportunity to join a dedicated food service team that plays a critical role in patient and resident care. This full-time role encompasses an 8-hour day shift with a standard workweek of 40 hours, offering a competitive salary range between $17.00 and $23.00 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum six months of applicable experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Willingness to obtain Serv Safe certification if required
  • Ability to fulfill annual continuing education requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on location
  • Valid Driver's License may be required depending on location

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible
  • Follows standardized recipes and guidelines for cooks to prepare, store and use food
  • Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
  • Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation
  • Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, food grinders, and more
