CulinArt is currently seeking a full-time Cook to join their team at The Harley School location in Rochester, NY. This position plays a critical role in maintaining CulinArt's commitment to quality and excellence in foodservice by preparing high-quality food items following standardized recipes and procedures. The Cook will work a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, offering a consistent and stable work routine. The pay rate for this position is set at $20.00 per hour, reflecting the company's respect for skilled culinary professionals.
The Cook will be responsible for ensuring that food preparation meets all federal, state, and corporate standards, adhering to strict health and safety regulations including HACCP standards. This includes correct portion sizing, temperature control, and attractive food presentation to guarantee guest satisfaction. In addition to food preparation duties, the Cook will maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, manage food storage practices to prevent waste and contamination, and operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen and cooking experience
- ability to work full-time Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- physical ability to perform kitchen tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting
- willingness to comply with company safety policies
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
- operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
- reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- abides by all company policies and procedures including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
