Job Requirements

  • Experience is a plus
  • availability to work Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • adherence to company safety policies including use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas
  • ability to taste and assess food quality
  • willingness to comply with all food safety guidelines
  • applicants must be able to work full-time and meet scheduled hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation or cooking is preferred but not required
  • knowledge of federal and state food safety regulations
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain portion control
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • basic skills in operation of kitchen equipment
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • willingness to attend safety and training meetings

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring proper temperature and appearance
  • tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies as required
  • reports maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers and management
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • follows HACCP standards
  • abides by company policies including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
