The Cook position is a vital role within Eurest's operations, responsible for preparing food in line with federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure consistent quality service. This is a full-time position requiring candidates to work Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering a competitive pay range of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience to qualify for this role.
In this position, the Cook will be expected to prepare high-quality food items using standardized recipes and instructions, ensuring timely production and delivery. Meal preparation includes portion control, temperature maintenance, and attention to the food's visual appeal and taste. The Cook will be responsible for food safety and sanitation, including the cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment, proper storage of ingredients, and disposal or storage of excess food items according to safety protocols.
The role also includes responsibilities such as managing kitchen equipment, assisting with production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues or accidents immediately. Cooks must maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers while working in a clean and safe environment. They must adhere to strict safety practices, including wearing protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes and following proper lifting techniques.

Job Requirements
- At least 3 years relevant experience
- Ability to work full-time Monday to Friday 5:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must comply with company policies and safety standards
- Willingness to attend safety and in-service training
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment and follow food safety protocols

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and temperature control
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper storage of food and supplies
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good relationships with coworkers and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Abides by company policies including the use of safety gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
