Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years cooking experience required if no diploma
- food management certificate required within 6 months of employment
- able to read and write in English
- understanding of modified diets
- experience in commercial or institutional food preparation
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience cooking for 2 years required in lieu of education
- able to read and write in English
- possess basic understanding of modified diets
- three years in commercial or institutional food preparation or two years experience as assistant cook
- associate's degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts
Job Duties
- prepare and serve food using proper food handling and food safety techniques
- maintain a clean and safe working environment
- coordinate and assist in overall functions of the Food Service department
- work with Registered Dietitian to ensure adequate nutrition services
- coordinate with Director to ensure daily operations are carried out
- prepare, season and cook food for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions
