Job Requirements

No formal degree required
One year of food service experience
Ability to work in a stressful environment
Capacity to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting and standing for extended periods
Willingness to work evening shifts
Ability to adhere to HACCP food safety standards
Must be able to use food service equipment safely and maintain cleanliness

Job Qualifications

One year food service experience or culinary program training
Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
Ability to work independently with critical thinking skills
Strong communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

Prepare food for distribution to patients, retail, physicians and catering services
Follow menus provided and report concerns to departmental leadership
Ensure food is prepared and documented according to quality, quantity, nutritional, temperature and safety standards
Adhere to HACCP guidelines for food requisition, storage, handling and preparation
Use food service equipment safely and maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area
Prepare food according to standardized recipes ensuring food production schedules are met
