Job Requirements

  • No formal degree required
  • One year of food service experience
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Capacity to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work evening shifts
  • Ability to adhere to HACCP food safety standards
  • Must be able to use food service equipment safely and maintain cleanliness

Job Qualifications

  • One year food service experience or culinary program training
  • Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work independently with critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for distribution to patients, retail, physicians and catering services
  • Follow menus provided and report concerns to departmental leadership
  • Ensure food is prepared and documented according to quality, quantity, nutritional, temperature and safety standards
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines for food requisition, storage, handling and preparation
  • Use food service equipment safely and maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area
  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes ensuring food production schedules are met
