Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of cooking experience in a restaurant, senior living facility or similar setting
- Current valid state-required certification or license for sanitation such as Safe Food Handling or Certified Food Manager
- Ability to follow dietary policies and procedures and comply with nutritional guidelines
- Availability to work full-time hours from 10AM to 7:30PM
- Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen areas
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding kitchen tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of one year cooking experience in restaurant or senior living or equivalent
- Current state-required sanitation certification or license (Safe Food Handling or Certified Food Manager)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to maintain quality and presentation standards in food service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to hospitality and resident engagement
Job Duties
- Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization
- Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times
- Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
- Prepare diets correctly as per policy and procedure
- Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy and efficiency
- Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
- Assist with serving meals and ware washing as necessary
- Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance
- Conduct evaluations to improve food service operations and procedures
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner to create a positive marketing environment
- Support a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive top-line revenue and occupancy
