Job Description
Stellar Senior Living, a premier assisted living and memory care provider operating in the Western United States, is proud to be expanding its team at The Grand at Southern Hills, one of its most vibrant senior living communities located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since its establishment in 2012, Stellar Senior Living has consistently grown by adding senior living communities and continues to foster a work culture that values people — residents, their families, and employees alike. This growth mindset offers numerous opportunities for career advancement within the company, along with supporting employee development through company-sponsored training and tuition reimbursement programs.
At The Grand at Southern Hills, residents enjoy an active lifestyle filled with fun, family, and community engagement, and our dedicated team plays a vital role in delivering the high-quality care and lifestyle our residents deserve. The Cook position here is more than just preparing food — it’s about contributing to the wellbeing and happiness of the seniors we serve. As a cook on our team, you will have the important responsibility of preparing nutritious, attractive meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. The role requires quickness, diligence, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the quality and presentation expected by our community.
Being part of the Stellar Senior Living family means you’ll enjoy a supportive and flexible workplace environment with options for part-time or full-time schedules, making it ideal for students or those seeking flexible working hours. We also provide robust benefits for full-time employees including medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous paid time off, holidays, 401k, and much more. More than that, we promote an inclusive, friendly atmosphere where teamwork and communication are key. You’ll be joining a team of caring professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
The Cook role involves much more than meal preparation; it includes assisting in maintaining a well-organized food service department, understanding ingredient safety and special diets, and handling large group meal preparations. If you have a minimum of one year of related experience, knowledge of safe food handling, and the ability to multitask in a team environment, you will thrive in this position. The successful candidate must also have the ability to read and understand recipes, work flexible shifts, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. We are committed to equal opportunity employment and embrace diversity as a core value in our workplace.
Additionally, Stellar Senior Living encourages COVID-19 vaccination among all employees to maintain a safe environment for everyone, including residents and staff. While vaccination is not mandatory, the company offers accessible onsite vaccination clinics and continues to promote wellness initiatives that foster a healthy and supportive community. If you are ready to join a compassionate team dedicated to excellence and enriching the lives of seniors, consider applying to become a Cook at The Grand at Southern Hills, where your work truly makes a difference.
