Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Valid Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to work full-time Wednesday through Saturday 11am-7pm
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals according to dietary restrictions
  • No equivalent experience substitution for education

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Valid Food Handler's Card
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen or assisted living facility preferred
  • Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares meals for 150-200 people twice daily
  • Use of commercial kitchen equipment and tools
  • Light dishwashing (less than 15% of the shift)
  • Plate trays up to 40 textured meals and or specialized diets per service
  • Cleaning responsibilities based on shift and need
  • 70-80% scratch cooking
