Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in food preparation in a high volume setting preferred
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide good customer service
- Knowledge of sanitation and food handling standards required by federal, state, and regulatory agencies
- Proficiency in cooking methods, procedures, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow written recipes accurately
- Capability to properly identify patients and maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Food preparation experience in a high volume setting preferred
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and JCAHO food safety standards
- Ability to follow written recipes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Job Duties
- Prepare meals for all service times including breakfast, lunch, and supper
- Cook all meats, vegetables, and special diet meals according to set standards
- Follow written recipes and food preparation guidelines
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations by federal, state, and regulatory agencies
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain patient confidentiality when delivering food services
- Assist in special functions and other food-related duties as directed
