Job Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older
- ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License
- ServSafe certification
- open availability to cover all shifts
- maintain a neat, professional, and well-groomed appearance
- ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs
- willingness to work varying schedules reflecting business needs
- follow company appearance and dress standards
- possess self-control and maintain composure under pressure
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- one to five years prior experience as a cook in high-volume food service operation
- knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and equipment maintenance
- basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and nomenclature
- ability to taste and smell foods
- knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yields
- proficiency in handling culinary tools such as knives
- excellent guest service and communication skills
- ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions
Job Duties
- Practice, support, and maintain the mission, vision, and values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC
- provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive guest service to team members and venue guests
- prepare food items per work order including breakfast items, entrées, and desserts according to guest requests
- utilize proper cooking methods, cook to recipe and production specifications, and handle food according to health and safety standards
- maintain cleanliness, readiness, and sanitation of all work areas
- slice, dice, chop, and prepare raw products
- carve meats, portion food, add gravies and sauces, and garnish plates
- operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils safely
- maintain par levels of operating supplies and food products
- take responsibility for remedying health code or safety violations
- promote current casino events and assist guests with directions
- perform other duties as assigned
