Job Duties
- Prepares and stores ingredients for menu items including washing, chopping, dicing, mincing, pureeing, peeling, cutting, mixing, seasoning and portioning ingredients
- Safely stores all food and prep items in appropriate locations
- Prepares, portions, cooks, and presents menu items efficiently handling multiple orders
- Reads tickets accurately to incorporate ingredient modifications and substitutions
- Safely operates and handles all kitchen equipment
- Checks orders for allergen modifications and communicates these to necessary parties
- Practices company standards for food preparation for customers with allergies including sanitizing utensils and surfaces
- Ensures guest satisfaction by exceeding expectations
- Maintains food quality and safe handling requirements
- Sets up and breaks down kitchen stations including salad, saute, grill and fryer
- Follows recipes, portions and production guidelines
- Completes side work and closing duties and checks out with management
- Warns employees and guests about hazards
- Maintains company standards of cleanliness
- Stays educated on specials, menu deviations, and discontinued items
- Reports customer concerns, injuries, accidents and high-risk issues to management
- Obtains required food handling and alcohol service certifications
- Completes and passes required company tests
- Follows company control procedures to safeguard assets
- Uses allergy alert buttons in POS system
- Takes carry-out orders and processes payments
- Participates in pre-shift and staff meetings
