Job Description

Raising Cane's is a popular fast-food restaurant chain primarily known for its chicken finger meals. Founded with a passion for quality and a commitment to exceptional customer service, Raising Cane's has grown rapidly across the United States, gaining a strong reputation for not only its delicious food but also for creating a fun and dynamic work environment. The company places a strong emphasis on teamwork, enthusiasm, and a customer-first mindset, making it a sought-after employer in the fast food industry.

As a Cook at Raising Cane's, you will play a crucial role in setting the pace of the restaurant by ensuring that every meal meets the company’s high standards for quality and taste. The kitchen is a lively and fast-paced environment where music is cranked up to keep the energy high while you prepare some of the most beloved chicken finger meals around. This position is perfect for both entry-level candidates and experienced cooks who thrive in busy settings and want to grow their career in restaurant operations. Starting as a Cook opens up many promotional opportunities, such as advancing to roles like Bird Specialist or Certified Trainer, providing a clear path for professional development within the company.

This role requires flexibility as it offers shifts throughout the day including opening, closing, and everything in between. The company welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds including those with experience in customer service, retail, food service, or no prior experience at all as paid training is provided. Raising Cane's is committed to helping every Cook succeed and offers competitive pay starting at $12.00 per hour with opportunities to increase earnings by up to $1.50 per hour through training certifications and performance milestones within the first year.

The company fosters a work environment that values responsibility, genuine enthusiasm, excellent communication, and teamwork. Employees are encouraged to be attentive, hardworking, and to take pride in their work. The culture at Raising Cane's balances working hard with having fun, which creates a positive and engaging atmosphere for all team members. Furthermore, the company promotes a strong community impact ethos, making it a place where employees can feel good about the difference they make.

Raising Cane’s also offers an attractive benefits package for hourly crew members. These benefits include access to a wide range of voluntary insurance options through an insurance marketplace such as medical and pharmacy coverage, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, hospital indemnity, legal insurance, auto and renter’s insurance, and identity theft protection. Additional perks include gym membership programs, 401(k) plans with employer match for those 21 and older, access to financial advisors, crewmember assistance programs, education assistance, and pet insurance. The company also provides paid time off, closure on major holidays, flexible scheduling, casual work attire, early closures for company events, and an employee discount program.

Essential physical and mental functions for this role include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and twist as needed, and maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills. Dependability and punctuality are critical, as is the ability to multitask and maintain proper food safety and cleanliness standards. Employees must also embrace team collaboration and comply with all company policies. Raising Cane's is committed to inclusive hiring practices and welcomes applicants 16 years or older who want to contribute to a fast-paced, friendly, and fun restaurant environment.
