The Food Prep Worker II role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for supporting cooks, chefs, and food service managers by preparing ingredients and assisting with various food preparation tasks. Job Requirements

  • must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation is preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • ability to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
  • must be able to obtain and maintain food safety certification
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • previous food prep experience preferred
  • knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred
  • must be able to obtain required food safety certification
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely utilizes a variety of utensils including knives
  • arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
