Job Requirements

handle various food products such as seafood, beef, pork, poultry, fruits, and vegetables
handle knives and kitchen tools properly
work assigned schedule including weekends and holidays
work overtime when required
arrive to work on-time
complete paperwork and related administrative duties
comply with company policies
ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds frequently
regularly stand, bend, lift and move during shifts of 8+ hours
ability to work in environment with extreme temperature changes and noise

Job Qualifications

culinary degree and/or cook certification preferred
at least 1 year of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred
experience with maintaining temperature logs for all food items prepared
recipe conversion experience required to accommodate daily production needs
ability to read, write and follow food specifications and menu guidelines
effective communication skills with supervisors and co-workers

Job Duties

assemble equipment according to airline specifications following procedures and assembly diagrams
package and prepare alcoholic beverages for airline flights
keep production areas in compliance with sanitation standards and customer requirements
document inventory in compliance with requirements
follow directions
work as a member of a team
support hot food leadership in monitoring team's production quality and efficiencies
additional duties as assigned by management
