Job Requirements
- handle various food products such as seafood, beef, pork, poultry, fruits, and vegetables
- handle knives and kitchen tools properly
- work assigned schedule including weekends and holidays
- work overtime when required
- arrive to work on-time
- complete paperwork and related administrative duties
- comply with company policies
- ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds frequently
- regularly stand, bend, lift and move during shifts of 8+ hours
- ability to work in environment with extreme temperature changes and noise
Job Qualifications
- culinary degree and/or cook certification preferred
- at least 1 year of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred
- experience with maintaining temperature logs for all food items prepared
- recipe conversion experience required to accommodate daily production needs
- ability to read, write and follow food specifications and menu guidelines
- effective communication skills with supervisors and co-workers
Job Duties
- assemble equipment according to airline specifications following procedures and assembly diagrams
- package and prepare alcoholic beverages for airline flights
- keep production areas in compliance with sanitation standards and customer requirements
- document inventory in compliance with requirements
- follow directions
- work as a member of a team
- support hot food leadership in monitoring team's production quality and efficiencies
- additional duties as assigned by management
