Job Requirements

  • be at least eighteen years of age
  • possess a current food handlers card
  • able to read write understand and communicate effectively in English
  • criminal background clearance
  • able to stand walk bend kneel and stoop for extended periods
  • ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • willing to work primarily indoors and available for outdoor events
  • must have demonstrated leadership training and supervisory skills

  • demonstrated skills knowledge and competency in leadership training and supervision

  • experience in cooking and food preparation
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • ensure health protocols are always followed including proper hygiene sanitary food preparation and proper food temperatures
  • familiarize yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs
  • participate in resident orientations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
