Job Requirements

  • minimum of three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic and understand measurements and conversions
  • ability to plan and organize work
  • ability to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • some knowledge of nutrition and diet
  • drug-free workplace compliance

Job Qualifications

  • servsafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • work all stations in the kitchen
  • efficiently run assigned station during the shift
  • follow all specs and stock food as needed
  • maintain the quality of food and plate presentation
  • prepare all soups, stocks, sauces, boils, braises and roasts as per standardized recipes
  • prepare and serve all sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items as per standardized recipes
  • prepare or direct the preparation of all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
