Job Requirements
- minimum of three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution
- ability to perform simple arithmetic and understand measurements and conversions
- ability to plan and organize work
- ability to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- some knowledge of nutrition and diet
- drug-free workplace compliance

- servsafe certification preferred

Job Duties
- work all stations in the kitchen
- efficiently run assigned station during the shift
- follow all specs and stock food as needed
- maintain the quality of food and plate presentation
- prepare all soups, stocks, sauces, boils, braises and roasts as per standardized recipes
- prepare and serve all sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items as per standardized recipes
- prepare or direct the preparation of all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
