Job Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand up and move about the kitchen or other designated areas
  • Ability to handle objects, products, chemicals, cleaning supplies and utensils
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel
  • Ability to communicate with other people and follow instructions
  • Frequent reading of chemical or machine labels or operating instructions
  • Use of basic mathematical skills to mix chemical solutions
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times
  • Assist with menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace throughout the shift
  • Participate in catering events as needed, providing support in meal preparation and service
