Proof of the Pudding has been a leader in the culinary and event catering industry for over 40 years, setting a high standard for exceptional food and memorable event experiences in Atlanta and beyond. Recognized for innovation, excellence, and passion within the hospitality sector, Proof of the Pudding has established itself as a premier destination for catering services ranging from weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings. As the brand expands into the greater Dallas area, it continues to deliver creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise. Known not only for its culinary excellence but also for its commitment to client satisfaction, the company embraces diversity and inclusion, offering employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, disability, or other legally protected characteristics.
The Food Preparation position at Proof of the Pudding entails preparing and cooking food items that meet the high standards of taste and presentation the company is known for. This is a part-time hourly role based primarily in concessions bar environments such as football stadiums or similar venues. The individual in this role will be working in fast-paced settings, ensuring that all food items are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures and in appropriate portions while maintaining a clean and organized work area following strict health and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities include practicing proper food safety procedures, using kitchen equipment efficiently, coordinating orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery, restocking supplies, and working multiple stations during shifts when necessary. The candidate should be comfortable moving around event operations, stadium, or campus grounds, often involving physical activity such as lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for long periods, and adapting between warm and cold climates.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to listen attentively to supervisors and co-workers, work independently under pressure, and be a reliable team player. Core competencies include business acumen, dedication, ethics and integrity, safety consciousness, teamwork, effective communication, initiative, adaptability, planning skills, and a strong service orientation. Proof of the Pudding offers on-the-job training that builds transferable skills applicable across the hospitality industry, opportunities for career advancement, flexible scheduling excluding home football game days, and daily meals during shifts. While tipping is optional, employees can enjoy the benefit of a free meal while working. Proof of the Pudding is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace environment to all employees.
