Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food preparation or cooking
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • physical ability to lift approximately 35 lbs
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • adherence to health and safety regulations
  • compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols
  • ability to work independently and maintain kitchen cleanliness

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred
  • knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
  • understanding of health and safety regulations in food service

Job Duties

  • produce, prepare, cook and serve foods including soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering and other assigned items
  • observe and follow verbal and written instructions regarding menu production, recipe methods, cooking techniques and food presentation
  • set up station prior to service with appropriate equipment and food
  • receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate and stow deliveries
  • maintain a clean and safe work area following health, safety and food handling regulations
  • provide excellent customer service and communication
  • follow health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene
  • move objects up to 35 lbs to waist height
  • adhere to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards
  • work independently and clean and sanitize the kitchen
  • perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • stand for extended periods of time
