Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work from April to September seasonally
  • Experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols including use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and event days

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and presentation standards
  • Taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen and maintain high standards of cleanliness after preparation and serving
  • Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Follow company policies regarding safety equipment and protocols
