Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Must pass drug screening
- Availability to work varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Good hygiene and sanitation practices.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
- Ability to follow recipes and special diet instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks
- Understanding of sanitation and hygiene best practices
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Job Duties
- Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems
- Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours ensuring food quality, temperature and appearance
- Portion and plate food for serving
- Follow proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Store food properly and safely, marking date and item
- Maintain daily production records
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards
- Report necessary equipment repairs and maintenance to supervisor
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times
- Clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
- Work multiple functional kitchen areas including fry, grill, sauté and steak stations
- Operate in a fast-paced, high-energy, physically demanding environment
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
