Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months experience as line cook
- Minimum 3 months experience as pantry/prep cook
- Culinary degree or 5 years cooking experience in restaurant, catering, or banquet facility
- ServSafe or comparable food safety certification
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Visual acuity
- Flexible schedule and ability to change locations as needed
Job Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of culinary arts and food service
- Leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and foster a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in using kitchen hand tools, machines, and equipment
- Strong math skills for measuring and calculating ingredients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months experience as line cook
- Minimum 3 months experience as pantry/prep cook
- Culinary degree or 5 years cooking experience in restaurant, catering, or banquet facility
- Culinary training
- Food sanitation and safety training including ServSafe certification
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Good visual acuity
Job Duties
- Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other assigned menu items
- Create a consistent finished product and high-quality presentation
- Learn menus and recipes, ensuring accuracy in preparation
- Read and manage multiple contracts and prepare associated prep lists
- Ensure food safety by properly storing food and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area
- Supervise and delegate work in a lead capacity when required
- Provide equipment training and maintain knowledge of food costs and inventory control
- Adapt to flexible schedules and changing work locations
- Present food and carve in front of large groups up to 1000 guests
